I have always loved the gemstones, I am a true beadaholic/rock fossil hound, BA/RFH and have collected a vast amount of gemstone and glass. Making gemstone jewelry has become a real passion of mine. I take great pride in making a piece that is worn and well liked, I want my jewelry to be enjoyed for many years to come. I am always trying new design ideas. Nothing fancy just simple everyday jewelry that is fashionable, affordable, and unique. That is what I love to create and share.

Advertising and the Showcase

Advertising is open to all. If you are an artisan, blogger, website owner. The only restriction we put in place is that is has to be a legal site and kid friendly.

If you notice right on top there are 4 150 x 150 banners in rotation. These will be on all the Blockhead Radio 'Live" pages, chat room, blog, drop down menu, any other place I can find to stick it, and the BHR Player. There are 12 banners in rotation on each one. Each banner rotates on a 15 second rotation. This keeps it in motion and attention getting. With the banner ad spot comes a one liner that is read on air. Each banner will have an ad/plug played in rotation i.e. "Check out thiswebsitename.com cause they rock" This makes a very good impact and isn't tuned out as a commercial. 3 to 4 plugs will be played in rotation every hour.

Sound good so far? Now for the cost. We are throwing the CPM out the window. It will be a flat rate of $21.00 per month. Once the 48 spots are filled we will create a waiting list.

Can you believe its June 1st!! WOW. Before you know it the Holiday Season will be upon us. People will be looking for gift ideas and gearing for Christmas.

This year in time for the Holiday season BHR is putting together an Artisan Directory. Which will be available online for Free and marketed to buyers! There will also be a Print Version available. BHR also plans on sending a few Hard Copy Magazine to some key marketing people.

Buyers will be able to browse the Directory and find Artisans to purchase from. Its a great way to get your shop out there. You can also offer coupons in the back of the directory to feed traffic to your shops.

There is:
1/4 page ad for $7.50
1/2 page ads for $15.00
Full page ads for $30.00

The full and half page ads are very limited. BHR wanted to make this Directory assessable to all artisans, a way to get noticed with buyers looking to find handmade goods and original items from Artisans across the world!

As to date we are on page 22 of the directory. There are also many articles, written throughout the directory. Telling about the Artisan worlds, and featuring many types of Artisan Styles.

You can reserve your spot by purchasing today they are on a first come first serve basis, and once spots are taken we will not be able to add more. Information must be received by July 1st!

what kind of reach does BHR have and why would I benefit from advertising. BHR is an Internet radio station, so that means people all around the world can listen and do. Our top 5 countries are:

1. United States
2. Canada
3. U.K.
4. Israel
5. Australia

Our demographics are a split of 60% Artisans and 40% General Listeners. 70% Women and 30% Men. Ages vary from 12 years old to 71. Yep we got a grandma jammin' with us.

Why use Internet Radio for advertising? Simple, interactivity. With an audio commercial you have put a voice/personality to your site. When your ad is playing a banner is displayed in the player and the listener has the option to go to you site right then and there. Then the most 5 recent audio plays are kept in a list on the player and those link up to your site too. It opens in it's own window so you have the listeners complete attention.

We sell in stream audio/banner spots on CPM. That way you know that 1000 people will hear your ad. CPM is frequently used in advertising to represent cost per thousand (where M is the roman numeral of 1000). When used in advertising it relates to the cost per thousand page impressions. Using the CPM model the advertiser is guaranteed that a minimum number of listeners will hear their ad.

The cost is $15.00 CPM. Advertiser is responsible for supplying a 240 pixel square banner and link to information. Please provide us with a couple sentences describing your site and we will do a script and voice over. You can renew your ad for $7.50 for another 1000 impressions

If not, you should!! Entrecard, in a nutshell, is a way for you to drop your business card on blogs! Simple as that!

Visit the site, sign up, and have at it. Don't be scared..it does look intimidating but it REALLY isn't that hard!

You sign up, get the code for the widget and put that on YOUR blog. Then you start making drops on other people's blogs. How do you do this? Once signed into Entrecard, click "Campaign" and simply find the blogs you want to make drops on!

How do you succeed with Entrecard? Venture out of your comfort zone! If you make jewelry, don't just make drops on jewelry blogs---they make jewelry, they may not necessarily NEED yours!! Look at the various categories, and MAKE DROPS!! You never know when a techie guy on a computer blog could see your Entrecard and say hey, I need some smokin' jewelry for the lady!
